Brandon Ballweg was driving east on Highway 30 near Fair Oaks Avenue when he lost control of his car and went airborne. His car landed on an SUV traveling on the westbound
side of the highway. Killed in the SUV was Kirk U’Ren, on his way to a Badger basketball game with his wife, Jennifer Steiner.
Steiner would pass from injuries almost two weeks later. The two were parents of twin infants.
The couple were organ donors and their donations will help more than 100 people.
