Betty Dunn was walking along Lincoln Road, near Hwy D west of Oregon, with her son Christopher on her shoulders when a car veered off the road and hit them.
Betty Dunn was pronounced dead at the scene, the young boy was flown by Med-Flight to University Hospital where he died.
The driver of the car said she looked down for a moment and when she looked up they were there.
