Musician Ben Cauley returned to Madison on Monday to mark the 40th anniversary of the crash. It was his first time back since the 1967 tragedy. Cauley was 20 at the time. He was rescued from the water after clinging to the wreckage for about 20 minutes. Cauley said he always knew he would one day return to Madison and that now is the right time. He said a few words and played a few songs on his trumpet.
